My Diet
Here’s a little insight into my diet. I typically consume between 1900 – 2400 calories per day. The higher calorie days usually occur when I have been training harder and am feeling sluggish. My dietary habits are pretty clean, but I do love my sweets. There are a few things I try to avoid which include: red meat, pork, enriched and/or refined wheat products, and dairy products (except cheese and Greek yogurt). Although I do my best to eat a healthy diet daily I am by no means perfect. When it comes to my dietary habits and training I simply keep in mind this mantra, “I am aiming for excellence not perfection.” The following is what I typically eat during the week. Just keep in mind this isn’t the ideal diet, but it works with my lifestyle and my CrossFit goals.
Breakfast (7:30 am) ¾ scoop of protein isolate (Dymatize Nutrition – Iso-100, it’s lactose-free) |
Snack (10:30 am) Mini Babybel cheese, original |
Lunch (12:30 pm) 3 oz chicken breast |
Snack (4:00 pm) ¾ scoop of protein powder |
Dinner (8:45 pm) 3 oz chicken breast |
